Rebecca Louise Roe
1952-1978
Rebecca was my middle sister, an imp, jokester, joyous person, and yet went through the hell of bullying in high school and then the uncertainties of the early diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosis and finally the devastation of kidney failure. She was creative: she made banners and large macrame pieces and wrote poetry and prayers. One banner in particular was striking and spoke of her faith.
My sisters Phyllis and Deborah wrote eloquently about her and her life.
Phyllis: Article, When Prayer Does Not Produce a Cure and a Good Friday sermon, All Shall Be Well.
Deborah: The Prayer of Easter
