Larry and Merna Davis were Maggie's parents. He was a Methodist/United Methodist minister for over 40 years, a chaplain in the Army during World War II, and served in churches and as a district superintendent in the Nebraska Conference. Merna was active in the churches Larry served, with interest in women's ministry and mission. Read the eulogy given by Rev. Jim Keyser, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, at her memorial service, November 6, 2000.

Larry spoke to the Grand Island Kiwanis in 1987 about his life. Here is his story, which includes extensive writings about his World War II chaplaincy experience. Here is the eulogy, given by Rev. Del Roper, October 12, 1994. (Image)

Here are photos of Merna, Maggie's sister Jeanne, and Maggie at Maggie's 1999 graduation from Iliff School of Theology.
